A few days after announcing the shortlist for the “best African player” and “best player playing on the continent” awards, the Confederation of African Football (CAF) has unveiled more categories and their respective nominees:
- Best Young Player:
- Mohamed Salah (Egypt, FC Basel)
- Victor Wanyama (Kenya, Celtic Glasgow)
- Moussa Konaté (Senegal, FC Krasnodar)
- Best African National Team:
- Ivory Coast
- Zambia
- Cape Verde
- Central African Republic
- Best African Women’s Team:
- Equatorial Guinea
- Nigeria (U-17)
- Nigeria (Super Falcons)
These categories encompass a diverse range of achievements, from individual player performance to team excellence at both the men’s and women’s levels. The winners will be revealed at the CAF Awards ceremony.
