Guardiola shared his thoughts before the upcoming clash: “No coach in the world wants to be considered the favorite before a match. However, I must acknowledge this reality. Last season, Bayern achieved tremendous success, and this season, we clinched the title seven games before the end. But I am fully aware of the formidable opponent we will face on Tuesday. While Manchester United may not be enjoying a stellar season in the Premier League – I’m not focused on their league performances – they have demonstrated their quality in the Champions League. When I look at players like Rooney, Vidic, Rio, Chicharito, and Welbeck, I recognize their capabilities. Despite their league form, they are formidable opponents in knockout matches.”
“As a coach, my priority is to maintain the high standards set by Jupp Heynckes last season. It would be a tremendous honor to achieve similar success.”
“I am grateful to be in charge of such a great club. The support I receive is exceptional, and I strive to give my best every day. I am confident that I will continue to coach Bayern next year because of our Bundesliga success. As for the future beyond that, it remains uncertain.”
