Jordan Ayew, who was loaned to Sochaux from Olympique de Marseille during the last winter transfer window, may not be able to participate in the upcoming match between the two teams. Sochaux is set to host Marseille for the 31st day of Ligue 1.
There’s uncertainty regarding Ayew’s availability for the match due to contractual obligations. According to L’Equipe, the 22-year-old Ghanaian striker’s contract includes two key points: a salary concession from the player and a clause prohibiting him from playing against his parent club, Marseille.
Although Ayew himself reportedly accepted this condition, Sochaux coach Hervé Renard seemed less enthusiastic about it. Renard, the former coach of Zambia, indicated that he believed Ayew was available for selection for the match.
