Alex Dias, reflecting on his time with Nicolas Anelka during their brief six-month spell together at Paris Saint-Germain from July to December 2001, shared some insights into the Frenchman’s behavior.
In an interview with Sambafoot, the former Saint-Etienne striker recalled Anelka’s tenure at the Parisian club. “He’s an excellent player, but he didn’t like to train,” Dias remarked. “He arrived at the time he wanted. He was a bit rebellious, even for his age at the time. But afterwards, he managed to have a career and won trophies.”
These comments shed light on Anelka’s attitude during his time at PSG and offer some context for his later controversial actions, such as his departure from West Bromwich Albion amid the quenelle affair.
