AS Roma, led by Gervinho and his teammates, is set to have its own stadium soon. The club’s American owners presented plans for a private stadium project, which they aim to complete by 2016.
The new stadium, planned to be constructed in the southwest of the Italian capital, will boast a capacity of 52,500 seats, with the potential to expand to 60,000 seats. The estimated cost of the project is 300 million euros, as announced by Roma’s owner, James Pallotta. However, when factoring in related infrastructure, the overall cost could reach 1 billion euros.
If realized, this project would see Roma depart from the Olympic Stadium, which it currently shares with Lazio Rome.
