Thierry Henry, former French international and current New York Red Bulls striker, has expressed his belief that Brazil is the favorite to win the upcoming World Cup. Speaking as a BBC consultant for the tournament, Henry highlighted Brazil’s strong performance in the Confederations Cup and the presence of star player Neymar da Silva as key factors.
In an interview with SportTV, Henry stated, “I think that since the Confederations Cup, the will of the players, their way of playing, the intensity they put on each ball prove that they will be present. Neymar will also be an important factor in the good performance of this Seleção. It will be very difficult to beat Brazil at home, but in football nothing is impossible, as history has already shown us.”
Henry’s prediction aligns with his belief that Brazil’s home advantage and the quality of their squad make them formidable opponents. He does not share the sentiment of some French people who doubt the chances of the French national team in the tournament.
