AC Milan is facing a period of restructuring for the upcoming season, as they are excluded from competing in the Champions League. Silvio Berlusconi’s club will implement a stringent financial policy in response to this setback. Executive director Adriano Galliani has announced that the team’s top earners, including Kaka, will be required to accept a reduction in their salaries. Kaka himself has shown willingness to adapt to the new circumstances.
“Galliani stated that Kaka has expressed his willingness to discuss a salary reduction with him at the end of the season. He emphasized that most players receive 80% fixed salary and 20% variable, contingent mainly on Champions League qualification. However, qualification for the Europa League does not count towards this variable component. Despite the salary adjustments, Galliani assures that the players will weather this downturn,” confirmed sources.
