After several delays, the elections for the presidency of the Gabonese Football Federation are finally set to take place on March 30, just five days away. The venue for the elections will be the Chamber of Commerce in Libreville, the capital city of Gabon.
The voting process will be overseen by representatives from the International Federation of Association Football (FIFA) and the Confederation of African Football (CAF). Ahmed Ould Yahya, the president of the Mauritanian Federation, has been designated by CAF to represent the African football governing body in this election. This announcement was made by CAF on Tuesday.
