Alongside hosting the prestigious Great Night of African Football on May 21, Senegal is gearing up to host another significant sporting event during the same period. This event will be an international tournament named after Mawade Wade, a former national technical director. Augustin Senghor, the head of the Senegalese Football Federation, has officially announced this development.
The tournament, as reported by Le Quotidien, is set to mark the inauguration of activities for the UFOA-A (Union of West African Federations) A. Alongside Senegal, eight other countries are slated to participate in the tournament. These countries include Gambia, Mali, Mauritania, Guinea, Guinea Bissau, Sierra Leone, Liberia, and Cape Verde.
