Peguy Luyindula, a former French striker and current member of the New York Red Bulls in the MLS, recently discussed his decision to join the league and his experiences so far, including his former teammate Thierry Henry.
Luyindula emphasized his desire to explore new opportunities and discover a different environment by moving to the MLS. Despite being in his thirties, he sought to enjoy himself in a new country and a different football championship. He clarified that his decision to move was not solely motivated by financial considerations, stating that he would have remained in Europe if that were the case.
The Kinshasa-born player expressed his commitment to continue playing until he can no longer physically do so. Despite the geographical distance between France and the United States, Luyindula remains engaged with Ligue 1. He follows the league closely and highlighted the dominance of Paris Saint-Germain and AS Monaco, while also expressing hope for his former club Lyon’s success in European competitions.
