Vincent Enyeama, the goalkeeper for Lille, is gearing up to represent Nigeria in the upcoming World Cup this June. In a recent press briefing, he extended well wishes to his team, which finds itself in a group alongside Iran, Bosnia, and Argentina.
“We must approach each match with great seriousness, whether it’s against Iran, Bosnia, or Argentina,” emphasized the Lille goalkeeper.
Enyeama expressed his aspirations to potentially face the French team during the competition.
“I certainly hope that Nigeria can advance beyond the group stage and, who knows, even defeat France in the round of 16 to secure a spot in the quarterfinals,” he suggested.
Meanwhile, Enyeama and Lille are set to face AS Monaco on Sunday for the 30th matchday of Ligue 1.
