Espérance de Tunis, the current leader of the Tunisian Ligue 1, has faced sanctions and convictions this season due to the behavior of its supporters during a match against Club Africain. The club has been ordered to play a match behind closed doors as punishment for supporters throwing projectiles onto the pitch.
In addition to the match behind closed doors, the Football League has imposed a fine of 1,500 dinars (approximately 688 euros) on Espérance de Tunis.
