Following medical examinations, it was determined that the Algerian international will require a month of rest, effectively ruling him out for the remainder of the Saudi championship season. Delhoum, who joined Al Nasr on loan from ES Sétif in January for a six-month spell, had featured in only two matches for the club.
Despite his limited appearances, Delhoum had the opportunity to contribute to Al Nasr’s success in the final of the Crown Prince Cup, where they secured a 2-1 victory over Al-Hilal, the defending champion for the past six editions.
As the 26th day concluded, Al-Nasr finds itself at the top of the standings with 60 points, trailing behind Al-Hilal by six points (54 points), with Ahly Jeddah in third place with 38 points. A win for Al-Nasr in their upcoming match against Ittihad Jeddah on Sunday, as part of the 27th day, would secure the championship title for Delhoum’s teammates, marking the club’s first title since 1995.
