Georges Leekens, a prominent figure in Belgian football, has thrown his hat into the ring for the position of head coach of the Togo Sparrowhawks. Leekens, known for his successful playing career and managerial stints, brings a wealth of experience to the table. He has notably coached the Belgian national team on two occasions, guiding them to the 1998 World Cup during his first tenure. In addition to his international coaching experience, Leekens has managed several clubs in the Belgian Pro League and had a brief stint in Saudi Arabia with Al Hilal. His only previous experience in Africa was coaching the Algerian national team from 2002 to 2003.
