Despite securing victories in their previous two matches, Lille found themselves held to a goalless draw by Nantes on Saturday afternoon during the 29th day of Ligue 1. The Dogues currently sit five points ahead of Saint-Etienne, who are set to play on Sunday at the Parc des Princes.
Expressing his disappointment, Franck Béria pointed out the team’s overall performance: “We are disappointed, as we know we didn’t produce our best football. Playing against Nantes is never easy, especially considering they are fighting for survival. It’s always tough against such teams.”
Reflecting on possible factors such as fatigue and psychological pressure, Béria admitted uncertainty but acknowledged missed opportunities: “We had chances to break the deadlock. However, nothing is definitive. It’s natural for the fans to voice their frustration.”
Having suffered a serious collarbone injury in December during a Ligue 1 match against Paris Saint-Germain, Béria had to endure a period of patience before making his return to the pitch against Nantes.
