Lionel Messi and Dani Alves were the goal scorers for Barcelona, while Vincent Kompany scored the only goal for Manchester City across both legs. Kompany, known for his defensive prowess, put in another solid performance. After the defeat, the Belgian international of Congolese origin took to Twitter to express his determination: “We gave everything and we will come back to win this competition. Continue to encourage us as you do. Our time will come,” Kompany wrote on Twitter.
