On Monday, former Olympique de Marseille president Bernard Tapie was ordered by the commercial court to pay 1.2 million euros towards the 3.8 million euros in unpaid debts demanded by Urssaf des Bouches-du-Rhône.
The court only upheld the amount of debts subject to “constraints,” totaling 1.2 million euros, while the remaining 2.6 million euros were deemed provisional debts.
Bernard Tapie’s lawyer, Me Vincent Pinatel, confirmed that his client does not intend to appeal the decision, considering it satisfactory. He stated, “If the court had ruled in favor of Urssaf, 3.8 million euros would have been owed. We accept this decision and will not be appealing.”
