Starting in Friday’s opening match of the 28th day of Ligue 1 against Nice, André Ayew’s game was cut short due to an unfortunate incident.
The Ghanaian international suffered a head injury during a clash with Romain Genevois. As a result of the impact, Ayew had to receive five stitches on his scalp, as reported by RMC.
Unfortunately, Marseille ended up on the losing side (0-1), further distancing themselves from the podium in the league standings.
Despite this setback, there’s hope that Ayew could recover in time for the 29th day of fixtures. Earlier in the week, he represented Ghana in a match against Montenegro as part of the FIFA international break, albeit in a losing effort (0-1).
