Tunisia has been selected to host the 2015 men’s Afrobasket tournament, as announced by FIBA Africa. This decision was made following a vote during the 5th ordinary session of the FIBA Africa central office. Tunisia emerged as the preferred host country, receiving 11 out of 13 votes.
This marks the third time that Tunisia will host the African Men’s Nations Championship, AfroBasket, highlighting the country’s experience and capabilities in organizing such events. The decision comes after competition from Angola and the Central African Republic, with Tunisia ultimately securing the privilege of hosting the prestigious basketball tournament.
