Jose Mourinho has made it clear that he is keen on working with Mario Balotelli in the future. With Chelsea’s current strikers Samuel Eto’o, Fernando Torres, and Demba Ba failing to impress, Mourinho is eyeing a new striker for the next season. During a press conference on Thursday, Mourinho expressed his desire to have “Super Mario” as part of his squad.
“In football, you never know what the future holds. Balotelli is currently at a top club, but you never know what could happen in the future. Clubs always want to keep their best players, especially top Italian talents. However, Mario has previously played in the English league. Although I wouldn’t manage Milan or the Italian team, he’s someone I’d like to work with again,” stated Mourinho.
Whether Balotelli will be able to leave AC Milan at the end of the season remains to be seen. While he was previously linked with a move due to his strained relationship with Allegri, he appears to be finding his footing under Clarence Seedorf. Additionally, Balotelli recently expressed his sentiment of not seeing himself in any other English club jersey than that of Manchester City.
However, in the unpredictable world of football, anything can happen. Mourinho may hope for the best as he awaits the next transfer window. Perhaps he will reunite with the player he previously worked with during his time at Inter Milan.
