Nabil Bentaleb, the emerging talent of Algerian football, embarked on his journey at the Fennecs’ technical training center in Sidi Moussa on Monday. With his first call-up for the friendly against Slovenia on March 5, the Tottenham midfielder expressed his enthusiasm in an interview with Dziar TV, while also addressing the media speculation surrounding his choice of national team.
Bentaleb affirmed that he had made his decision long ago but acknowledged the media’s interest in the matter, stating, “It’s their job.” Despite the attention, he remains composed and determined not to burden himself with undue pressure. He expressed his excitement at the opportunity to join the national team, emphasizing that while participating in the World Cup is a dream, he prefers to focus on the present and take things one step at a time.
In his initial remarks, Bentaleb conveyed his eagerness to represent Algeria and engage with his teammates, highlighting conversations he had with fellow players Adlène Guedioura and Essaïd Belkalem.
