The national coach of the Atlas Lions, Rachid Taoussi, has announced two concentration camps as part of the preparation for the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations (CAN). These camps are scheduled from December 3 to 6 and 10 to 12.
As of now, the details of the team that Morocco will face in a friendly match on December 12 have not been specified. There were rumors that the Egyptian selection, initially expected for the match, has withdrawn.
According to reports, the Royal Moroccan Football Federation has explored the possibility of organizing a friendly match with the national team of Niger, although nothing official has been confirmed yet. Discussions are also reportedly underway with Nigeria.
The two concentration camps will involve 24 players from the national championship, providing Rachid Taoussi with the opportunity to finalize the list of players who will represent Morocco in the upcoming Africa Cup of Nations in South Africa. Morocco is in Group A and is scheduled to play its first CAN 2013 match against Angola on January 19.
