In light of this withdrawal, coach Willy Sagnol has decided to call up Tiémoué Bakayoko, a Franco-Ivorian midfielder playing at Stade Rennais. Bakayoko, who has never appeared for the U21 team before, will join the squad ahead of their Euro 2015 qualifiers against Belarus on Tuesday. This marks the second withdrawal for the Bleuets, following that of Cédric Hountondji, who was replaced by Naby Sarr.
