For the past two seasons, Michy Batshuayi has been leading the attack for Standard de Liège. The young Belgian center forward, of Congolese descent, has become a sought-after talent coveted by numerous clubs. During the recent transfer window, Everton and Benfica expressed interest in acquiring his services.
Despite a late push from Anderlecht, Batshuayi remained in Liège. However, according to reports from the local newspaper Het Laatste Nieuws, PSV has now emerged as a serious contender for his signature in the upcoming summer transfer window. It appears that the Belgian international prospect could be making a move to the Eredivisie.
In the meantime, Batshuayi continues to impress with his performances for the league leaders in the Jupiler Pro League. He currently sits atop the league’s scoring charts with an impressive tally of 17 goals.
