He mentioned that the Head of State has assigned him specific objectives that he intends to achieve. Lobognon used a sports metaphor, describing the development of Ivorian sport as a match that they are about to play together. He emphasized teamwork, stating, “We are teammates, even though I am the captain. The referee, the President of the Republic, has warned us that he will not hesitate to call fouls and, if necessary, distribute red cards.”
