Zambia has secured its place in the final round of the African Women’s Cup qualifiers after their draw against Tanzania (1-1) in Dar Es Salaam, following their earlier victory in the first leg (2-1).
The home team took the lead through Asha Rachid’s goal, but Zambia managed to equalize with Susan Banda’s goal eight minutes before the end of the match.
In the final round, the Chipolopolo Ladies will face Botswana Cranes. Additionally, Comoros, Ethiopia, Nigeria, and Senegal have automatically advanced to the last round due to the withdrawal of their opponents. They join Equatorial Guinea, South Africa, and Cameroon, who received exemptions from the first round as podium finishers in the previous edition.
