FC Barcelona has introduced a new initiative to address the issue of absenteeism among its subscribers during matches. With a large number of subscribers, it’s common for seats to remain empty when fans are unable to attend matches.
To tackle this problem, the club has launched a new application that allows subscribers to release their seats if they can’t attend a match. Subscribers can do this up to 72 hours before the match begins. If their seat is resold, the club will reimburse them 50% of the ticket price directly into their bank account.
This initiative not only encourages subscribers to free up their seats for others but also helps ensure that seats are filled, maximizing the matchday experience for fans. Additionally, if a seat is released closer to the match time, the reimbursement will be deducted from the subscriber’s next purchase when renewing their subscription.
This system applies not only to football matches but also to basketball games, showing the club’s commitment to improving attendance and fan engagement across all its sporting events.
