Cameroon is set to face Portugal as part of FIFA Day on March 5, with the final list of players to be unveiled by the coach of the Indomitable Lions on Thursday.
In addition to Vincent Aboubakar, whose inclusion has been publicly confirmed by the German coach, Volker Finke will also consider selecting four local players.
“Finke has been instructed to include at least four amateur players in his list. However, he has the discretion to decide otherwise based on the progress of the training camp,” state well-informed sources.
Known for facing criticism regarding his player selections, Finke is now poised to call up players based in Cameroon for the first time. Currently, 28 players are undergoing training at the Mbankomo Center in preparation for the upcoming match.
