José Mourinho, the adept Portuguese coach steering Chelsea, is currently enjoying a successful spell. Engaged in a clash with Arsène Wenger, whom he deems a lackluster figure, and grappling with the age ambiguity of his forward Samuel Eto’o, he recently distanced himself from PSG, as well as a slew of French clubs, by expressing his sentiments:
“Regarding coaching in France? I find contentment in England. My bond with Chelsea transcends mere affiliation; it’s a project I deeply resonate with. While the prospect of working in France isn’t out of the question for the future, presently, I find the English league’s intensity unparalleled. It’s a competition where predictability is less pronounced, which, at this stage of my career, I find essential.”
On PSG’s alleged proposition, Mourinho commented, “I neither confirmed nor rejected it, as no concrete offer has reached me. There exists a mutual respect stemming from our past interactions, including an invitation to Qatar several years prior to their ownership of the club. However, my intentions were clear post-Real Madrid; I yearned to return to England. I prefer not to speculate and focus on my current commitment; after all, I have four years remaining on my contract, and the future remains to be seen.”
Furthermore, addressing rumors of Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s hypothetical transfer to Chelsea, Mourinho dismissed them outright, stating, “It’s implausible. I refuse to indulge in speculation as it’s simply unattainable. Zlatan finds contentment in Paris, a sentiment we’ve discussed given our friendship and ongoing correspondence. Considering Paris’s financial prowess, such a move remains a fantasy.”
