Brazilian coach Mano Menezes has been fired from his position, as reported by the Brazilian newspaper O Globo. Menezes, who took over as Brazil’s coach in July 2010, will not lead the team into the 2014 World Cup in Brazil. Luiz Felipe Scolari, the 2002 World Cup-winning coach, and Muricy Ramalho, the current coach of Santos, are among the names rumored to be in consideration for the position. Menezes managed Brazil in twenty games, winning fifteen, drawing one, and suffering four defeats during his tenure.
