Volker Finke, currently in Brazil attending a FIFA seminar alongside other coaches of countries qualified for the upcoming World Cup, shared his thoughts on the Cameroon national team’s chances in Group A, particularly their match against the host country, Brazil.
While acknowledging the significance of the Cameroon-Brazil matchup, Finke emphasized the importance of taking each game step by step, starting with their matches against Mexico and Croatia.
“We need to focus on Mexico first, then Croatia. The game against Brazil will be a significant challenge for us, but we must approach it with a realistic mindset,” stated the German coach.
Regarding the encounter with Brazil, Finke acknowledged the immense difficulty of facing the host nation on their home turf.
“The players will undoubtedly be motivated for the game against Brazil, but we must recognize that Brazil will be the overwhelming favorites, especially playing at home,” Finke added.
