Ahead of the Portugal vs. Cameroon friendly scheduled for March 5th in Leiria, the Cameroonian national team has called up Bordeaux’s Landry N’Guemo along with Nicolas Nkoulou from Marseille, Jean-Armel Kana-Biyik from Rennes, and Jean II Makoun. Although the official list is yet to be announced, the clubs of these players have confirmed their call-ups. This friendly match serves as preparation for the upcoming 2014 World Cup in Brazil, and it is anticipated that both Cristiano Ronaldo of Portugal and Samuel Eto’o of Cameroon will feature prominently in the game.
However, the organizers encountered a hurdle as the French Football Federation declined to host the match in France on the same day as the France-Netherlands fixture scheduled at the Stade de France, aiming to avoid scheduling conflicts.
