The Burkina Faso national football team, known as the Stallions, is currently in Morocco as part of FIFA international days preparations, gearing up for friendly matches against Libya and Niger on March 22 and 26, respectively.
Leading the team is the new head coach, Brama Traoré, who conducted his inaugural training session with the squad on Tuesday, March 19, 2024.
With 23 out of 25 players present, Traoré emphasized the defensive aspect during the session, aiming to rectify past errors and instill a cohesive defensive strategy.
Reflecting on the training, Traoré expressed satisfaction, noting the players’ enthusiasm and dedication. “We were there on the defensive aspect.
We had to put in place our defensive aspect and correct the small errors that we have noticed in the past,” he remarked, highlighting the team’s commitment during the session.
As the Stallions prepare for their friendly match against Libya on March 22, Traoré acknowledged the significance of the encounter, describing it as his “baptism of fire.”
Despite being a friendly match, Traoré stressed the importance of securing a positive result, particularly following two previous defeats, underlining the team’s determination to perform well.
Addressing his players, Traoré emphasized the importance of unity and collective effort. “I reminded them that we have a duty to be together.
We have to be in good spirits because everything depends on our confidence in ourselves,” he emphasized, rallying the team around a shared sense of purpose and camaraderie.
