Yahaya Mohammed, the renowned striker for the Ghana Black Stars, has made headlines once again by signing with Al Ittihad, a powerhouse in Libyan football with 16 first division championships to their name.
This move comes as Mohammed opted not to fulfill the remainder of his contract with Asante Kotoko, departing the club in May. His departure leaves a scoring vacuum at Kotoko, where he had been a key player for a season and a half, netting an impressive 15 goals across all competitions.
At 26 years old, Mohammed’s talent was on full display during the African Nations Championship (CHAN) in South Africa earlier this year, where he played a vital role in Ghana’s journey to becoming African vice-champions.
