Alioune Badara Diagne, the former president of the Senegalese Basketball Federation, who passed away in Egypt, will be buried in his hometown of Pout on Saturday. Diagne died on Wednesday during his participation in the FIBA Africa Congress. His remains will be transported to Dakar on Friday, and the lifting of the body is scheduled for Saturday morning, according to the Senegalese Basketball Federation. Diagne served as president of the Sports Association of Civil Servants (ASFO) in 1990 and later became president of the Senegalese Basketball Federation in 2005. He was a graduate of the National School of Administration and Magistracy (Enam).
