The Nigerian national team that participated in the recent African Nations Championship has received recognition for their performance. Despite finishing in third place in the competition, they managed to uphold the honor of the country. This was evident in the gesture made by the President of Nigeria, Goodluck Jonathan, towards the team. During a ceremony held on Thursday, President Jonathan awarded Stephen Keshi and his players a generous bonus of 31 million Naira, equivalent to approximately 138,000 euros.
As a result of this bonus, each player received 1 million Naira, which amounts to around 4,500 euros. This acknowledgment serves as a commendation for their efforts and achievements during the tournament.
