Vladimir Petkovic, the newly appointed national team coach, has resorted to a simple tactic to familiarize himself with the Algerian players during the ongoing March training camp.
The Bosnian technician officially began his duties at the helm of the national team yesterday, overseeing his first training session.
However, he admitted to having limited knowledge about many of the players he called up.
A leaked photo from the Sidi Moussa training center depicted Algeria’s coach Petkovic standing alongside his assistant Nabil Neghiz, holding a sheet of paper featuring pictures of the national team members.
In a clever move, Petkovic copied the players’ images alongside their names, aiming to quickly and effectively recognize them during the training sessions at Sidi Moussa.
