The Parisians, never truly threatened, clinched their 10th home win with goals from Ezequiel Lavezzi (19th minute), Zlatan Ibrahimovic (50th minute), and a Gary Kagelmacher own goal (52nd minute). With this win, PSG widened the gap between them and AS Monaco to 8 points. The Parisians displayed a solid performance against Valenciennes without needing to exert their full talent, allowing them to focus calmly on the Champions League knockout stages.
Following the heavy defeat suffered at Parc des Princes, Mathieu Dossevi, the attacking midfielder from Valenciennes, acknowledged PSG’s clear superiority. The French-Togolese player admitted in a Tweet that the players from the two teams simply “don’t do the same job”…
