Telechargement4 300x165 1

The Bamako Olympic Club is gearing up to host the Libyan team Al-Ahly of Tripoli in the second leg of the Confederation of African Football (CAF) Cup preliminaries. With the first leg ending in a 1-1 draw in Tunis, the Bamako club has the advantage and hopes are high for qualification into the 16th final. Coach Sékou Seck expresses optimism after the positive result in the first leg.

Seck acknowledges the difficulty of the first leg against an unfamiliar opponent but highlights his team’s ability to adapt and respond. Despite facing technical and fast-paced opposition, the Bamako club applied high pressure to disrupt the opponent’s game. Goalkeeper Abdoulaye Samaké’s crucial save further motivated the team, leading to a late equalizer from a penalty.

Looking ahead to the return leg, Seck anticipates another tough encounter but believes in his team’s chances, especially with the support of home fans. Having identified the strengths and weaknesses of the opposing team in the first leg, the objective remains qualification, and the team is determined to achieve it.
