Arnold Mvuemba, who joined Olympique Lyonnais in September 2012, is currently facing a challenging period in his career. The midfielder has had limited playing time this season, featuring in only 5 Ligue 1 matches, with four of those being starts. Despite being sparingly used by manager Rémi Garde and occasionally being made available for the CFA team, Mvuemba maintains a positive attitude towards his situation.
“Even though it’s tough not playing regularly, I always enjoy being on the pitch, regardless of the matches. It’s a privilege to be out there. I don’t dwell on the situation. I focus on training to stay ready whenever I’m needed. Every player wants to play, so it wouldn’t be honest to say I’m satisfied with my situation. It doesn’t bring joy. However, I haven’t expressed any desire to leave. I believe I still have a role to play, no matter the time of the season. We’ve been using this system for a while now, and we’ve seen good results. I don’t see any reason why the coach would change it,” explained the French-Congolese midfielder on the Olympique Lyonnais website.
Mvuemba’s commitment to training and readiness to contribute when called upon reflects his professional attitude despite the challenges he’s facing in terms of playing time.
