Damien Boudjemaa, initially linked with a move to Standard de Liège, has instead signed for Slavia Prague. The Algerian midfielder, previously playing for Petrolui Ploeisti in Romania, will now ply his trade in the Czech championship, a new challenge for him.
At 28 years old, Boudjemaa has had an unconventional journey in football, starting at amateur level in France until the age of 23 before moving to Romania. During his five seasons there, he notably featured in the Europa League with his club.
His contract with Slavia Prague is set to expire next June, offering him the opportunity to make his mark in a new league and continue his footballing journey.
