Algerian football fans are eagerly anticipating the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil. Out of the 2,000 tickets allocated to the Algerian Football Federation, 1,300 have already been sold, demonstrating the high level of interest among supporters. Tahar Sahri, the general director of Touring Voyages Algérie (TVA), revealed that some sales outlets experienced stock shortages due to the overwhelming demand.

“We have 34 agencies nationwide, and some had to stop selling tickets after they were completely sold out,” Sahri explained to Algérie Presse Service. Algerian fans have the option to choose from three categories of tickets, with varying prices depending on the level of accommodation. The more affordable option includes three-star hotels, while the higher categories offer more luxurious accommodations at prices ranging from 450,000 to 750,000 dinars.

Algeria is set to participate in its fourth World Cup, placed in Group H alongside Belgium, South Korea, and Russia. The Fennecs will kick off their campaign against Belgium on June 17 at the Belo Horizonte stadium, marking an exciting start to their World Cup journey.
