Our colleagues from Malifootball.com have reported that a meeting took place in Paris last weekend between the managers of FEMAFOOT (Malian Football Federation) and Airness, a sports equipment manufacturer and sponsor of the local national selection. The main topic of discussion was the renewal of the partnership between the two parties.
It appears that an agreement has been reached to strengthen the contract in terms of both financial and material provisions. The new contract will extend over 4 years, matching the duration of the mandate of the FEMAFOOT executive committee. The financial allocation will increase from 50,000 euros (32,800,000 CFA francs) per year to 100,000 euros (65,600,000 FCFA) per year, marking a 100% increase. Additionally, the equipment allocation, which was previously valued at 250,000 euros (164,000,000 FCFA) over 4 years, will now be worth 1 million euros over 4 years, representing a 300% increase.
Furthermore, Airness will provide FEMAFOOT with 2000 tracksuits of different colors for distribution to affiliated clubs. Additionally, Airness will become the official ball supplier for the national Orange League 1 championship for the next 4 years, providing FEMAFOOT with balls worth 90,000 euros (59,040,000 FCFA) per year.
The new contract is expected to be signed in mid-March.
