Despite not having played in a championship since last November, the Togolese vice-champions delivered an impressive performance, securing a 2-0 victory.
Meanwhile, Anges FC faced a tough challenge. They managed to take the lead in Aba, Nigeria, but ultimately suffered a heavy 1-3 defeat against Enyimba, the reigning champions. Despite Vincent Tchalla’s goal, Sibi Gwar with a brace and Sokari Kingsley sealed the win for Enyimba.
