The Parisian has revealed a ranking of football players’ salaries, shedding light on the substantial earnings of top players in the French championship.
At the top of the list is Radamel Falcao, the Colombian international, who receives a staggering monthly salary net of charges and taxes amounting to 1.2 million euros. Falcao’s exemption from income taxes, thanks to Monaco’s tax privileges, places him well ahead of other high-earning players.
Following Falcao is Zlatan Ibrahimovic, the star of PSG, who earns 807,000 euros net (1,350,000 gross) per month. Monaco also pays its players handsomely, with figures such as 370,000 euros for James Rodriguez, 342,000 euros for Joao Moutinho, and 250,000 euros each for Eric Abidal and Ricardo Carvalho.
At PSG, notable salaries include 628,000 euros for Thiago Silva and 478,000 euros for Edinson Cavani. However, there is disparity among players, with young hopefuls like Adrien Rabiot and Hervin Ongenda earning significantly lower salaries of 6,700 and 2,800 euros respectively.
Overall, the survey conducted by the Parisian underscores the unprecedented density of high incomes in the history of the French championship, reflecting the lucrative nature of modern football.
