Despite earlier uncertainties about his availability for the match against Sochaux, Pape Souaré, the Senegalese international, has been included in the Lille squad for the game. Souaré had been experiencing discomfort in his heel during the week, raising doubts about his participation.

Yet, they have yet to secure a victory in the league in 2014.
