The Ivorian Football Federation (FIF) has officially appointed Kamara Ibrahim as the head coach of the junior national team, the Junior Eléphanteaux. Ibrahim previously served as the coach of the cadet team, where he achieved quarter-finalist status in the 2013 World Cup category. His appointment reflects the FIF’s commitment to nurturing young talent and promoting the expertise of local coaches.
Amani Yao, who previously coached the U17s, has moved on to lead AFAD Djekanou, a club in the Ivorian first division. The FIF is expected to announce a new coach for the cadet team in the coming days. Ibrahim’s accomplishments include winning the cadet Africa Cup of Nations (CAN) in Morocco last March.
