Mehdi Abeïd, the Algerian midfielder, found himself without a place at Newcastle for this season under coach Alan Pardew and was subsequently loaned to Panathinaikos Athens in Greece. Since joining the Greek club, Abeïd has settled in well and no longer wishes to return to Newcastle. Instead, he expresses his desire to continue his journey with Panathinaikos, although the final decision rests with the club’s management negotiating with Newcastle to secure his contract.
At 21 years old, Abeïd is seen as part of the future for the Algerian national team, despite facing challenges in establishing himself at the highest level of the sport. Despite limited playing time at Newcastle, he remains on the radar of Algeria’s coach, Vahid Halilhodzic.
