The Tunisian national football team has experienced a slight modification in its preparation for CAN 2013. The Tunisian Football Federation (FTF) has canceled the desired friendly match against Egypt due to a delayed response from the Egyptian Football Federation (EFA). Tunisia had hoped to play against Egypt on December 31 in Doha, but with the uncertainty surrounding the match, the FTF decided to cancel it.
As an alternative, Tunisia will start its preparation training for CAN 2013 in late December in Dubai. The Carthage Eagles are scheduled to play matches against Iraq and the Ghana Black Stars in Abu Dhabi on December 27. Further preparation matches are planned between January 6 and 8 before Tunisia heads to South Africa for the final phase of the 2013 African Cup of Nations. Tunisia’s first match in the tournament is against Algeria in Group D.
