As previously reported by Africa Top Sports, the transfer of Aymen Abdennour to AS Monaco has now been officially confirmed. The agreement between Monaco and Toulouse was finalized just before the close of the transfer window, resulting in Abdennour joining Monaco on loan until the end of the season. The deal includes an option for Monaco to make the transfer permanent, with a four-year contract offered to the player.
At 24 years old, Abdennour will provide competition for the experienced central defensive duo of Eric Abidal and Ricardo Carvalho at Monaco. Although he is currently nursing a slight injury, Abdennour is prepared to compete for a starting position when fully fit.
Speaking about his move, Abdennour expressed his pride in joining AS Monaco, highlighting the club’s professionalism, talented squad, and ambitious goals. He emphasized his readiness to contribute to the team’s success and expressed his commitment to achieving their objectives.
